SunSplash is a premier tournament for U10-U13 boys’ and girls’ teams, bringing together clubs from across the region for a weekend of competition, development, and fun.

The tournament will take place July 21-26, 2026 in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, with games played at the Diane Whalen Soccer Complex (grass and turf fields) and Peter Barry Duff Park.

SunSplash is designed to deliver a memorable player experience, combining meaningful games, a vibrant festival atmosphere, and opportunities for players to grow and develop in a positive and supportive environment.

Important Format Updates for 2026

In alignment with Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards and NLSA guidelines, there are important updates to the U10 and U11 divisions for 2026.

U10 & U11 Festival Format

U10 and U11 divisions will operate in a festival-style format, focused on development, enjoyment, and positive experiences.

Key details:

• No scores or standings
• No playoffs or championship games
• Guaranteed 4 games per team 
• Emphasis on equal playing time and player development
• Fees:
  • $600 U10 and U11 divisions
  • $750 U12 and U13 divisions

This approach supports long-term development by creating a fun, inclusive, and low-pressure environment for young players.

U12 & U13 Competitive Format

U12 and U13 divisions will follow a competitive tournament format, including:

• Scores and standings
• Round-robin play followed by playoffs
• Bronze and Gold medal matches
• Minimum of 3 games per team

2026 Division Caps

The following division caps are in place for SunSplash 2026. Divisions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: Division sizes may be adjusted based on registration demand to ensure balanced and competitive play.

2026 Mock Schedule

2026 Tentative Schedule

 A mock schedule has been created to provide an overview of how the tournament may be structured across the week and to assist teams with travel planning and logistics. This draft gives teams a general sense of when divisions may be scheduled, including potential start days and game distribution throughout the tournament.

Out-of-province teams may be scheduled to begin as late as Thursday, July 23, where possible.
