If you’re looking for another way to get involved in soccer this summer, give back to the game, and earn some extra money, refereeing is a great place to start.
Paradise Soccer Club is hosting two referee certification courses on May 30 and 31, open to anyone (12+) interested in becoming part of the game in a new role.
With a busy season ahead, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved. PSC anticipates needing referees for over 320 games during SunSplash (July 21-26), along with consistent assignments throughout the house league season from June to August.
The course will provide everything you need to get started, including an introduction to the Laws of the Game, positioning, and match management, with a combination of classroom and on-field learning. Once certified, referees can begin officiating games right away.
Refereeing is also an opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership and communication skills, stay active, and be part of a positive sport environment. Whether you’re a current player, a former player, or simply someone who enjoys the game, this is a great way to stay involved.
PSC will also support new referees throughout the season with mentorship and development opportunities to help you grow and succeed on the field.
Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
